We are a small hobby farm located in South-Central Pennsylvania, about an hour away from Lancaster, Harrisburg, historic Gettysburg and Baltimore, Maryland. Although we have just an acre of land, we grow an abundance of vegetables, White Faced Black Spanish chickens for eggs and show, peacocks and serama chickens just for fun.
One of the highlights of the farm are our Nubian dairy goats. Their milk is used for cheese, butter and soap (as well as drinking!), and the girls are kept in tip-top show condition. They are carefully managed and chosen for their milking ability and longevity.
One day I'd like to say that we are self-sufficient, but for now I feel good about what we're able to do... after all, we only bought the property in 2011!
Keep checking back for updates and changes - you know there will be plenty!
