Ch Leharani's ROF Exact Exige 90VEEE
dob 03/25/10 PB Nubian, G6s tested negative
FOR SALE - $750,
When the Leharani's son went off to college, they made the difficult decision to downsize their Nubian herd and I was very fortunate to have been able to purchase Lois. She is the end result of almost 10 years of breeding and although I purchased her dry, was told that her first freshening udder was EXACTLY what they'd been aiming for. Lois is dairy. Lois is wide. Lois is L O N G... While not an incredibly tall doe, she is built to last and very correct. Lois is lovely!
Things really got fun for Lois in 2016! While she was always in the top placings, Lois never really had the body capacity to compete for Best of Breed. All that changed, she took BOB at Md State Fair and did it again a few weeks later at York. She was dry at farm show which kept her out of the top running, but the first show out in 2017 she took the breed again and finished her Championship.
Lois has been extremely generous in providing me with daughters. Her kids tend to mature slowly, staying in that awkward hot-dog stage for 2-3 years before finally getting some depth, but they are worth the wait. I can honestly say she's been the most influential doe in the herd, with progeny Elise, Corky and Ellie working here, not to mention her grandaughters and great grand daughters. At linear Appraisal in 2017 Lois stayed home to enjoy her final score of Ex90. Her 3 daughters went, scoring 87, 88 and 88 as a yearling, 2 y/o and 3y/o, all with 'Excellent' in mammary!

The 3 yearlings below are homestead quality. They dam raise as well as hand and machine milk. They're sweet and personable, gentle goats with show experience. Perfect for 4H or home use. $300 each.
Elsie - http://adgagenetics.org/PedigreePrint.aspx?RegNumber=N001948888
Poor Ellie lost out in the rump department, but makes up for it in attachments and capacity. She would like to remind me WHY we trim hooves and clip goats before pictures, and would like to state that she delivered triplets a little over a week ago.... So, this is NOT what she'll look like in a month (and her front end may even have leveled out by then too - silly yearlings...). She is learning her stand manners. |
Rockabye - http://adgagenetics.org/PedigreePrint.aspx?RegNumber=N001966177
Rockabye would also like a clip job, and also to say that she too delivered triplets not too long ago. Look at the length of body and brisket on this girl, she'll be fun to watch develop! |
Twinkle - http://adgagenetics.org/PedigreePrint.aspx?RegNumber=N001962365
Twinkle's turn to say something! She says she's slightly lopsided because her single kid picked sides. We're working that out and she is learning her stand manners nicely. She is registered 75% nubian and has the nicest topline of the yearlings. She is clean and elegant and will mature to be a lovely doe. |

Scotchbriar Wild Goose Chase was the sought-after Jr sire for the 2018 breeding season. Special thanks to Andrea from Scotchbriar for working with me to get this boy (... and you're welcome for all the doelings!). He combines one of my favorite does from Kori-Brook with a powerful buck from the Kastdemur herd, then blends that all with the Scotchbriar consistency that you rarely find in the Nubian breed. While he is a bit of a gamble being from a first freshening doe and a yearling buck, I have confidence he will help my herd move forward. Already I'm in love with the depth though his chest and spring of rib, he has great angulation though his hocks and naturally walks like he's climbing a mountain. And as a side note - Goose has the most fantastic personality. He is beyond gentle, sensible and is a joy to have on the farm. Who else has a buck that will tolerate a hoof trimming, untied, in the middle of the field?
Goose gives his daughters great front ends with extended briskets, long clean necks and length though the back. They have strong feet and legs and beautiful fore udders.
G6S Normal by parentage, DNA on file. 2 legs towards his championship. $600
